What Ammo Tracker is

Ammo Tracker is a personal inventory tool that helps you record and organize ammunition you own, along with optional details about the firearms you use it with. This policy explains what information the app collects when you use it, how that information is handled, and the choices you have.

Information we collect

Account information. When you sign up, our authentication provider, Clerk, collects your email address, name, and the credentials needed to sign you in securely.

Inventory data you enter. Ammo Tracker only knows what you tell it. That includes ammo types and categories, lot details such as brand, grain, container size, purchase price, and quantity on hand, and logbook entries recording when rounds are used, bought, rotated, or adjusted.

Optional firearm details. If you choose to track firearms, you may add information such as a name, caliber, purpose, purchase or sale details, tags, zero data, maintenance history, and notes. A serial number field is available, but it is entirely optional — you decide whether to enter one, and Ammo Tracker never requires it. You may also upload documents such as receipts, paperwork, warranty information, or manuals related to a firearm.

How we use your information

We use the information described above for one purpose: to run the app and show your inventory back to you. We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your information for advertising. Ammo Tracker does not include any third-party advertising networks or analytics trackers.

Service providers

We rely on a small number of trusted providers to operate Ammo Tracker, and your information passes through them only as needed to deliver the service:

  • Clerk handles authentication and account credentials.
  • Convex stores your inventory data, logbook entries, and any uploaded documents in its cloud database and file storage.
  • Vercel hosts the application.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is kept for as long as your account is active so the app can function. Ammo Tracker does not currently include an in-app account deletion or data export feature. If you would like your account and associated data deleted, contact us at the email below and we will process the request.

Your choices

You control what you enter into Ammo Tracker. Firearm details, including the serial number field, are entirely optional — you can track ammunition without ever adding firearm information, and you can leave any firearm field blank.

Security

We rely on industry-standard infrastructure providers for authentication and data storage, and data is encrypted in transit between your device and our services. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Children

Ammo Tracker is not directed to, and should not be used by, anyone under 18 years old.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the app evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
